Jean Wright
Jean was born on February 3rd, 1936, in Caledonia ND, to Richard & Pearl Stigen. Jean is one of nine children. She graduated from Caledonia High School, and married Donovan on February 19th, 1955.
Jean & Don have one “adopted” daughter, Jane Mayer of Minot ND. They have three “adopted” grandchildren: Thomas (Lisa) of West Fargo, Benjamin (Raeann) of Manhattan KS and Kathryn of Minot ND. They also have one very special “adopted” great grandson, Henry with another great grandson due in July 2023.
Jean is a member of Maple Bay Free Lutheran Church.
Jean & Don lived in Minot ND from 1960 until 1995. During this time, Jean was a housekeeper for many families. It was because of this career, Jean & Don started taking care of other families’ children when their parents would travel, and that is when they became “adoptive” to their special family!
Jean & Don traveled extensively because of Don’s career with the airlines. They made trips to Europe, Hawaii, Florida, Texas and many other destinations around the world.
Jean & Don relocated to live permanently at Maple Lake in 1995, having owned property there for decades.
